We know that most teams have multi-sport athletes. 65%-88% of high school athletes play two or more sports during the school calendar year. This is the reason the base program for each sport are very similar. Final phases and little tweaks to each system, allow you to build the strength, coordination and skills you need for your sport. No longer will you have to worry about other coaches who try to keep "their" athletes involved only in their sport or lifting system. Each aspect of our programs compliments each other part.
We also want this system to be easy to implement for the coaches. One thing we discovered in interviewing coaches. “Make it easy to learn and easy to teach.” So we put all the information on DVD, so any coach or athlete can watch, and get the info they need. Each exercise in the system is on DVD, seen from 2 angles with a clear voice-over that explains how and why to do each exercise.
Each workout is delivered on PDF. You can print these out and copy them for the athletes to build their own training logs. This gives you control on how long to do each phase and allows you to “personalize” the workouts if you want. This even means you can have some athletes lifting 2 days per week, while others are lifting the ideal 3-days per week.
The Built Solid Training Systems also focus on injury prevention. Since there is periodized lifting, we build strength in cycles, throughout the entire off-season, in a steady and usable manor. The athletes will also see more coordination and ability to stabilize their body and react to the forces they will encounter in their sport. Also, since each athlete can watch the DVDs and learn how to do each movement correctly, they will be able to reduce preseason injuries in the weight room. Too many of your athletes will get hurt or injured during the competitive season - you do not want or need to get anyone hurt in the weight room.
Also, The Built Solid Training Systems reduce injuries and maintain strength during the season by having a 2-day per week in-season strength training program. This program is designed to keep the athletes at peak physical levels throughout the season. We use basic equipment to get outstanding results! We did not want coaches to have to go out and refit their entire weight-room. So we based the entire program around the weight rack. You use the weight rack, long bars, dumbbells, loop rubber-bands and stability-balls. Most if not all of it should be standard equipment. There is no proprietary equipment you need to buy from us. No special training devices, training logs, or other items that you don’t really want.
